Ottawa man charged following Wiggins Private fires

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Arson Unit has charged a man with two arson fires on Wiggins Private – one on January 2nd, 2016 and the other on March 28th, 2016. 

Saeed MOHAMED, 33 years old, of Ottawa, is charged with two counts of Arson Disregard for Life. 

He is scheduled to appear at show cause court today.

Suspicious Fire on Wiggins Private

 (Ottawa) – At approximately 8:40pm, March 28, 2016, the Ottawa Police Service and Ottawa Fire Department responded to a working fire in an apartment complex at the 300 block of Wiggins Private. The fire was contained to the 3rd floor and put out by Ottawa Fire. There are no reports of injuries but the fire is being considered suspicious and will be under investigation by the Ottawa Police Arson Unit. Residents have returned to their units at this time.
