FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, March 18, 2016     11:00am

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service and Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) are pleased to announce this year’s fundraising for the annual Polar Plunge reached a total of $21,028!

“Overall the day was a great success,” said Insp. John McGetrick. “If we don’t raise funds, the athlete’s ability to participate in sports is very limited, that’s why events like this are so important.”

The Ottawa Police and SOO would like to thank the almost 100 plungers and their supporters for contributing to the success of the plunge.

Stay tuned later this year for an announcement on the 2017 Polar Plunge.
