The band has two banners that are carried on the bass drones of the Pipe Major and Pipe Sergeant on formal occasions. Retired Chief Vince Bevan presented both banners to the band at the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial, May 20th, 2006.

The Pat Hayes Memorial Banner is in honour of former Pipe Major - the late Superintendent Patrick F. Hayes M.O.M. Pat passed away suddenly on September 18th, 2005. Pat was a member of the band from 1970-2005 and Pipe Major from 1984-2005.

Photo of the Chief's banner The Chief's Banner features the Heraldic Badge of the Ottawa Police Service and is carried by the Pipe Major at formal occasions when the Chief of Police is present.
