Can I file a report anonymously?

To provide information anonymously or submit a tip about crime, you can use the online form to contact us, contact Crime Stoppers or use  the Bad Date Line for anyone to anonymously report violence, sexual assault, threats, drugs or gang activities encountered on a date.

How to obtain a vehicle once it has been towed by Ottawa police?

Attend one of our police stations to obtain a release form.

How do I get a police officer to speak to my class or group?
Every school in the City of Ottawa is currently assigned a specific School Resource Officer (SRO) as their personal police representative which you can contact directly. Otherwise, if you wish to have a member of the police (inlcuding a specialty unit member), you can contact your local Community Police Centre or send us an email.

What is graduated licencing?

Where do I pick up my suspended driver's licence ? 

You must contact the Ontario Ministry of transportation for this.

Where can I request a police patch for my collection?

We appreciate your interest in the Ottawa Police Service but we are unable to accommodate requests for police patches. For security reasons, we do not distribute patches to individuals who are not members of our Service.

Where can I get my fingerprints taken for immigration or other purposes?

Ottawa Police only provides fingerprints for the purpose of investigations, for which, you would be contacted and provided with an appointment date. For all other fingerprinting needs, you may attend any of the following organizations:
