Video Update: Arson Unit seeking assistance into three fire investigations in Osgoode

(Ottawa) — The Arson Unit is seeking the public’s help in identifying three individuals involved in one of the Osgoode arsons from earlier this week.

The video displays three individuals purposely setting fire to a basketball net and leaving the area on foot.

Anyone that can identify any of these individuals or has information about these incidents are asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 4587.

Arson Unit seeking assistance into three fire investigations in Osgoode

(Ottawa) — The Arson Unit is seeking the public’s help with ongoing investigations into three separate fires that occurred in Osgoode on September 1st, 2021.

At approximately 1:15am, a small fire was set to some sports equipment outside a home in the 5700 block of Eloise Crescent.

Minutes later, Frontline patrol officers responded to a vehicle fire at an adjacent property. Two vehicles had been set on fire and were severely damaged.

Later that morning, an unknown person(s) attempted to set fire to a mobile toilet in the 3300 block of Bramble Lane. Only minor damage occurred. 

All three fires have been deemed to be arsons and are being investigated by the Ottawa Police Service Arson Unit.

Investigators are asking residents in these areas who may have video surveillance, dashcam or doorbell camera footage, or anyone with information to contact the Ottawa Police Arson Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 4587.
