Drugs seized, warrant executed on Laurier Avenue West

 (Ottawa)-  Yesterday, the Ottawa Police Drug unit executed a warrant in the 400 block of Laurier Avenue West at 12:35pm. 

The police operation resulted in the seizure of Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Xanax, Crack Cocaine, MDMA as well as over $6000 in Canadian currency, 3 cell phones, 3 scales and drug packaging. Most troubling was the fact that the crack cocaine appeared to have been contaminated with purple Fentanyl. All drugs are still to be analyzed by Health Canada. 

As a result of the investigation, the Ottawa Police Drug unit has charged three men. 

Michael McINTOSH, 47 years old, of Ottawa is charged with: 

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking x 5.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime over $5000.00 x 1.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime under $5000.00 x 1.
  • Fail to comply with Recognizance x 3 

James VALIQUETTE, 34 years old, of Ottawa is charged with: 

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking x 5.
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking x 4.
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking x 1.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime over $5000.00 x 1.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime under $5000.00 x 1.
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order x 1. 

Michael JUDGE , 38 years old, of Ottawa is charged with: 

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking x 5.
  • Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking x 1.
  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking x 1.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime over $5000.00 x 1.
  • Possession of property proceeds of crime under $5000.00 x 2. 

McINTOSH and VALIQUETTE are scheduled to appear in court this morning. JUDGE is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
