Update: suspect identified in Iris Street robbery

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit would like to thank the public for its help in identifying the suspect in the April 9th, 2021 robbery on Iris Street.

Suspect to identify in Iris Street Robbery

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for the public’s assistance to identify a man involved in a robbery on Iris Street that occurred on April 9th, 2021.

At approximately 12:30am, the suspect boarded the O-Train at Pimisi Station and exited at Tunney’s Pasture Station. He then boarded OC Transpo bus #75, exiting on foot on Iris Street around 1:00am.

The suspect approached a male on the street, produced a large knife and demanded the victim’s personal belongings. He then fled the area on foot. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-brown skin male, 20-25 years old, approximately 5’9” (175cm) and average build. He was wearing a black puffy coat with a hood, black pants, black shoes, a black face mask and a black du-rag (see photos).
