Update: suspects identified in Riverside Drive Aggravated Assault

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police East Criminal Investigative Unit would like to thank the public for its assistance in identifying the persons responsible for an aggravated assault in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive on October 4th

  • Samuel WAWATIE-PAPATIEW, 21 years old, of Gatineau, was charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. 
  • Tristan PIEN-REBOH, 21 years old, of Ottawa, was charged with three counts of assault. 
  • Brent TWENISH, 20 years old, of Gatineau, was charged with one count of assault. 

They were all released on undertakings with condition to appear in court at a later date.

Public Assistance Sought to Identify Two Suspects in Riverside Drive Assault

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is asking for assistance in identifying two suspects and a person of interest in relation to an aggravated assault on Riverside Drive on October 4, 2020.

The incident happened at about 3:15 am in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive when the victim rang several apartments to get buzzed in. Four men came downstairs and a verbal argument took place, escalating into a physical assault where the victim was beaten and stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two of the suspects have been identified. The other two are described as follows:

Suspect #1: Indigenous man, 20 years old, short dark hair and medium build, wearing a red t-shirt (see photo)

Suspect #2: Indigenous man, 25 – 30 years old, short dark hair and beard, stocky build, dressed all in black, with a black hat (see photo)

Investigators are also looking to identify a person of interest. She is described as an Indigenous woman, 20 years old, slender build, long dark hair and glasses, wearing a black sweater and jeans. (See photo)

The suspects and the person of interest are believed to be from the jurisdiction of the MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau.

The vehicle used by the suspects is a 4-door white Kia with significant body damage between the doors on the driver’s side.  (see photo)
