Update: Witnesses and persons of interest to identify in Kanata Avenue stabbing

(Ottawa) – The West Investigation Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying any individuals depicted in the photograph as they were present during an altercation that resulted in a man being stabbed in the 700 block of Kanata Avenue on September 19th, 2021 at approximately 12:30am.

Anyone who recognizes these persons or have information on this Stabbing is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service West Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 2666.

Seeking witnesses in Kanata Avenue stabbing

(Ottawa) – On Sunday, September 19th, 2021, Frontline Officers responded to a call indicating that a man had been stabbed in the 700 block of Kanata Avenue. 

At approximately 12:30am, a group of men were involved in an altercation. During the incident, the victim was assaulted and stabbed.  He was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male, medium build, approximately 5’5”(165cm), short thick black hair, black hooded sweatshirt with pockets, black pants and dark shoes.

 Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2666.
