Joint Police operation results in three people charged and drugs seized

(Ottawa) – On Friday October 22nd, 2021 the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Guns and Gangs Unit executed warrants at five Ottawa addresses and one in Smith Falls with the assistance of the RCMP, OPP and Smiths Falls Police.

During a five month investigation, the six locations were identified as having a connection with shooting and drug trafficking incidents.

As a result, a 22 year old man from Ottawa as well as a 44 year old man and 26 year old woman from Smith Falls were charged for Possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Seized items in Ottawa and Smith falls jurisdiction included: 

  • Hydromorphone
  • Fentanyl
  • Cocaine
  • OxyContin 
  • Methylphenidate
  • Stolen property over $5000
  • Prohibited weapon (pepper spray).

 The OPS wishes to thank our police partners from RCMP, OPP and Smiths Falls Police for their collaboration.
