Carling Avenue robbery suspect to be identified - with photo

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a convenience store robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.

On February 28, 2016, at approximately 6:50pm, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 2900 block of Carling Avenue. The suspect, armed with a kitchen style knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect was unable to obtain cash and fled with an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20-25 years old, medium build, 5’7” (170cm). He was wearing a solid black “hoodie”, black jogging pants, a white/gray t-shirt and red running shoes. (see picture)
