Seeking to identify the suspect of a Sexual assault in the Carling and Alpine Avenues area

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is seeking public assistance to identify a male suspect in relation to an ongoing investigation.

On Sunday, February 28, 2016 at approximately 3:00am, an unidentified male approached a female in her early 20’s from behind in the Carling and Alpine Avenues area and attempted to remove her pants.  When the complainant resisted, the unidentified male fled on foot.

 The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, thin build, approximately 5’7” to 5’11” (170 cm – 180 cm), unknown age.  He was dressed in a black bomber style winter jacket and bulky black boots to his mid calf.
