Convenience store Robbery suspect to be identified

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating two related convenience store robberies and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible. 

On December 18, 2015, at approximately 12:50 am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 200 block of Laurier Avenue. The suspect produced a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cigarettes.  There were no injuries.

On December 30, 2015, at approximately 9:10pm, the same suspect attended the same location, again armed with a knife. He again made a demand for cash and cigarettes. He fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash and cigarettes. The suspect was last seen running southbound on Henderson Avenue.  There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 19-22 years old, slim build, and English speaking. In both instances, the suspect attempted to disguise his identity (see pictures.)
