The OPS participated in two key joint operations in 2019; Operation Skylark and Project Shildon.

Operation Skylark started as Operation Quattro within the OPS, and was a Drug Unit investigation that expanded to include cities like Sault Ste-Marie, Sudbury, and Niagara Falls and the associated police services. It resulted in the arrest of four men locally, and the recovery of drugs, guns and crime money, and coordinated more than eight police service tactical teams with 200 officers.

Project Shildon was a collaborative effort organized by the Ontario Provincial Police, and included Laval Police, OPS, Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal, the Insurance Bureau of Canada and York Regional Police. It looked into organized thefts of 497 high-end vehicles in central and eastern Ontario and into Quebec, and resulted in the recovery of 97 vehicles. Twenty people were arrested and charged.
