Can I submit a general application?

We do not accept general applications or unsolicited resumes. In order to express an interest in working as a Civilian member with the Ottawa Police Service, you must apply to specific external competitions when they are posted.   

How do I know if Ottawa Police successfully received my online application?

You will receive an email confirmation for every application submitted. You can also login to your profile to see a list of all competitions that you submitted an application for.

As a member of the OPS can I create a profile and apply online?

No. OPS members should still submit their application package as per the directions on the internal postings page.

Do all OPS employees have a benefits package? 

Full-time permanent members of the Police Service are offered a robust total compensation package.
