Make Ottawa your best decision

Want a career where every day is an adventure? Looking to be part of an extraordinary team with job security, great pay and a chance to make a difference in your community? If becoming a Police Officer is right for you, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has what you're looking for.

Policing is about working with people to ensure public safety through crime prevention and law enforcement. It's much more than a job - it's a rewarding career and lifestyle choice.

At OPS, we are continually looking to improve our capability to deliver service that is effective and responsive to the needs of our community. As such, the OPS is looking for men and women from all backgrounds and walks of life, including people of various races, cultures and religions or sexual orientations.
