Reporting Options

We do not accept reports by email or social media.

Some incidents require an officer to be dispatched to take a report in person, while other reports can be taken over the phone by an agent in the Police Reporting Unit (613-236-1222 ext 7300) or online using our Online Reporting System. Reports filed through our Online Reporting System are reviewed within 24 hours. *Do not use this system if you are operating a vehicle or wish to report information anonymously.*

If you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

For general comments, compliments or questions, please email us or social media.

In the event you are requesting information about a third party, or any information that has been deleted from a police report you received, or any other police documents, you must make a formal  request for this information. You can learn how to do so by visiting our Police Reports page.

Emails and social media will be monitored Monday to Friday during business hours only, excluding statutory and civic holidays.  

If you have a complaint about police, please follow our formal complaints process.
