Crime Map

Disclaimer: An issue with the crime map has been identified and some reports to police are not appearing on the map. This has reduced the quality of the tool. The mapping solution should not be used in place of official crime statistics. A redesign initiative is underway that will introduce a new solution.

Launch the interactive crime map

Would you like email alerts of what is happening in your neighborhood?

Use the Ottawa Police Service interactive crime map to see what incidents were reported to police. The data is intended to improve awareness of public safety and support coordinated crime prevention initiatives. The Crime Map will display the last 14 days of data including Homicide, Break and Enter, Vehicle Break and Enter, Robbery, Theft, Vehicle Theft, and Assaults, however, you can change the date selection by clicking on the “Filters” button. This will also give you the ability to look at different incident types. As you zoom into the map, additional detail will be provided for each incident. This map provides general information about incidents reported to police; however, not every call for service generates a police report and some information may not be releasable.

In Canada, information on sex offenders is not made public. For more information, please see the Sex Offender Information Registration Act and Christopher's Law.

In order to protect the identity of victims, addresses are rounded to the nearest 100 block. An incident occurring at 529 Name Street, would appear as 500 Name Street.
