Charges laid in Cummings Avenue Arson
Back to Search(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Arson Unit has charged a man following a fire in the 1100 block of Cummings Avenue last week.
On Tuesday, August 22, at approximately 7:10 am, officers were called to the area in response to a disturbance in the apartment building.
The fire caused significant damage and left some residents without shelter.
Shawn LEPAGE, 33-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with:
- Arson causing property damage
- Arson endangering life
- Uttering death threats
- Resisting arrest
- Assault police officer x2
He will appear in court at a later date.
