Police Seek Driver for Information on Old Richmond Road Cyclist Investigation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 18, 2024        10:30 a.m. 

Seeking information on the driver in the pictured vehicle(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the driver of the vehicle shown in the attached image, or anyone who can identify them, as they may have crucial information related to an ongoing investigation.

The driver may hold important details regarding the events leading up to a cyclist, a man in his 50s, being found on Old Richmond Road near Hope Side Road.

The vehicle is believed to be a 2019-2021 Hyundai Tucson, four-door model, which was seen traveling south on Old Richmond Road and turning onto Hope Side Road on September 26 between 5:10 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

Anyone with information, including the driver, is urged to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.

Incident on Old Richmond Road, police continue to seek witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service is updating that the cyclist has succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw a cyclist in the area of Old Richmond Road near Hope Side Road on Thursday September 26th, between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm, and may have dash or door cam footage and has not yet spoken to police. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345. 

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestoppers.ca.

Incident on Old Richmond Road, police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service is seeking witnesses after a cyclist, a man in his 50s, was found in serious condition under unknown circumstances.

Police were called to the area of Old Richmond Road near Hope Side Road on Thursday, September 26, around 5:15 pm.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who saw a cyclist in the area between 4:45 pm and 5:15 pm, and may have dash or door cam footage and has not yet spoken to police.
