(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit would like to advise the public that the person involved in the suspicious incident on Banning Road has been identified.

Man to identify in suspicious incident involving a child
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section (SACA) is investigating a suspicious incident that occurred near Banning Road in Kanata on Monday, April 29, at approximately 4 p.m.
A man approached a person under 16 years old in his vehicle while they were walking in the area. The person immediately fled on foot.
The man was driving a black Honda Ridgeline with lightly tinted windows and a black interior.
The driver is described as a white man in his 50s with light-coloured eyes, clean-shaven, balding on top of his head with a crown of hair. The man spoke English.
Investigators are concerned there may be similar incidents and are asking the public to contact them if they have any further information.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5944. However, anyone who feels they are in immediate danger should call 911.
