Two people charged following CDSA warrant executed on Clarence Street

(Ottawa) — In April 2024, members of the Ottawa Police Service Street Crime Unit (SCU) commenced a criminal investigation regarding individuals suspected of trafficking illicit drugs in the City of Ottawa.
On Thursday, May 2nd, with the assistance of the Vanier Neighbourhood Resource Team, a search warrant was executed at a home on Clarence Street. Police seized a prohibited magazine, bullet proof vest, crack cocaine, cocaine, over $3500 in Canadian currency, cellphones, and drug packaging materials.
Jordan LAVIOLETTE, 19 years old, and Marsha CHARMANT, 21 years old, both of Ottawa, were charged jointly with several counts of Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) offences, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of proceeds of crime and breach of probation.
They are both scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
