One Ottawa Celebration

Ottawa Police Service Invites Community to the "One Ottawa

 Celebration" on June 24

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Diversity Resource and Relations Unit, in partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership’s Welcoming Ottawa Week, is proud to present the One Ottawa Celebration on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Formerly known as the Diversity Celebration, One Ottawa brings together residents, community organizations, cultural groups, youth, artists, businesses, and public sector partners to celebrate the incredible diversity, resilience, and spirit that shape our city.

Event Highlights

Special Citizenship Swearing-In Ceremony

This year’s event kicks off with a profound milestone. In partnership with the IRCC, we will host a special citizenship ceremony where 15 families from around the world will officially take their oath and become Canadian citizens. This ceremony reflects Ottawa’s deep commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive home for all.

Community Celebration

Following the ceremony, the festivities move to the OPS Headquarters. The celebration is designed to foster meaningful engagement, build public trust, and strengthen relationships between residents, local organizations, and the Ottawa Police Service.

Attendees can look forward to:

  • Cultural performances and live entertainment

  • Community and cultural booths featuring local organizations

  • Local vendors and diverse food experiences

  • Youth and family activities suitable for all ages
