Research Partnerships

The Ottawa Police Service works with academic institutions and professional researchers to support evidence-based policing and research that advances community safety, transparency, and accountability.

Many commonly requested datasets, including crime trends and calls for service, are already available through the Community Safety Data Portal. Researchers are encouraged to review the available data before submitting a request.

If your research requires additional collaboration, such as access to non-public data, operational insight, or participation from OPS members, you may apply through our research partnership process.
