Suspect to identify in west-end home invasion and car jacking investigation
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, February 25, 2026 11:30 a.m.
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s assistance to identify one of the suspects linked to a home invasion and carjacking that occurred on Saturday, February 14th at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the area of Woodroffe Avenue and Tallwood Drive.
The suspect is described as Black. At the time of the home invasion, he was wearing eyeglasses, a black puffer coat and dark pants and shoes.
The Robbery Unit’s investigation continues.
Anyone with information or who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the OPS Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116. Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who may have security camera or doorbell footage from the area.

West-End Home Invasion and Carjacking Under Investigation
(Ottawa) —Ottawa Police are investigating a west-end home invasion involving four male suspects who forced entry into a rooming house. During the incident, the suspects, armed with firearms, falsely identified themselves as police and confronted multiple occupants.
Following the home invasion, a carjacking occurred at a separate location, and the stolen vehicle remains outstanding. Police believe the residence may not have been the intended target, though the investigation is ongoing.
There is no ongoing risk to the public at this time.
The Robbery Unit is leading the investigation, and Victim Services have been offered to those affected.
Ottawa Police remind the public to keep vehicles locked at all times, including when seated inside, and to remain alert to their surroundings.
