A Tournament to Remember: Celebrating Champions, Community, and Connection
The 2025 North American Police Soccer Tournament concluded last Friday after three days of sunshine, spirited competition, and community connection. More than 500 athletes representing law enforcement, emergency services, and frontline sectors from across Canada and the United States took to the pitch in Ottawa.
This year’s champions are:

The Ottawa Police Men’s Masters team earned a proud victory in their final, showcasing determination and teamwork in a division that highlights the passion and longevity of the sport.
Favourable weather throughout the weekend added to the success of the tournament, which brought together athletes, friends, families, and supporters to celebrate more than four decades of tradition.
The tournament also generated significant community impact with over $25 000 raised for the National Capital Blues Foundation, a registered Canadian charity supporting at-risk youth through sport, literacy, and mentorship.
Special recognition goes to organizers Joanne Pilotte, Barmak Anvari, and Devon Archer, whose months of preparation and commitment ensured the tournament ran smoothly from start to finish. Their leadership, supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, made the event possible.
Partners, sponsors, and supporters played a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of this year’s event, continuing the proud legacy that began in Vancouver in the early 1980s.
