January is Crime Stoppers Month

The East District Community Policing Team has been out in the community sharing important information about the Crime Stoppers program and how residents can play a role in keeping our neighbourhoods safe.

Crime Stoppers is a community-based program that allows anyone to report information about criminal activity 100% anonymously. Tips can be submitted by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online, with no caller ID, no call recording, and no requirement to identify yourself. If your tip leads to an arrest or charges, you may even be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Whether it’s suspicious activity, ongoing crime concerns, or information you’re hesitant to report directly, Crime Stoppers provides a safe way to speak up and help police investigate and prevent crime.
