Justice on Ice wins Event of the Year at "Grand Maillet" Gala

The tenth annual “Grand Maillet” gala of the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Civil Law was a great success last night. Nearly 300 guests—including students, alumni, professors, and dignitaries—gathered at the Museum of History to celebrate.

Earlier this year, the Ottawa Police Service faced off against civil law students in a friendly charity hockey game. The event, Justice on Ice, raised just under $10,000 for the CHEO Foundation, marking its first year as a major success.

The Justice on Ice organizing team, along with Sgt. Sébastien Lemay, received the gavel for Event of the Year, presented by the Honourable Greg Fergus.
