Lowertown Winter Fest Brings Families Together

The Ottawa Police Service joined residents at Jules Morin Park over the Family Day long weekend for the annual Lowertown Winter Fest, organized by the Lowertown Community Resource Centre.

The community enjoyed a full afternoon of winter fun, including inflatable structures for kids, hot chocolate, and a friendly hockey game on the outdoor rink. A police cruiser was also on display, giving children the opportunity to explore the vehicle and connect with officers.

OPS Auxiliary members, Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI) participants, Community Policing Officers (CPOs), and Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) officers were proud to take part in the festivities and spend time with community members.

Thank you to the Lowertown Community Resource Centre for organizing the event, to Councillor Stéphanie Plante for her continued support of the community, and to Chef Rick for contributing to a great day in the neighbourhood.
