McHappy Day in East District: A Shared Commitment to Community Care
Ottawa Police East District members joined the McDonald’s teams at Trim/Watters and Innes/Tenth Line to support McHappy Day.
Community Police Officers (CPO), members of the Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT), and Youth Officers were proud to step in behind the counter alongside the McDonald’s teams, gaining a deeper appreciation for the dedication and coordination that goes into their daily operations. More importantly, they saw firsthand the incredible impact McDonald’s continues to have in our communities.
For many OPS members, that impact is also deeply personal. Families across Canada, including members of our own, have been supported through Ronald McDonald House during some of life’s most difficult moments. Those experiences stay with us and highlight just how meaningful this work truly is.
“It was an honour to contribute today, to give back, and to stand alongside a partner so committed to community support,” said Inspector Sheehy. “Thank you for having us—and for everything you do year-round.”
