Homicide Investigation - Meadow Park Place
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, October 23, 2025 6:55 p.m.
(Ottawa) – The death of 21-year-old Joshua QIYUK, who was located deceased on October 22nd on Meadow Park Place, has been determined to be a homicide as the result of a stabbing.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493.

Meadow Park Place suspicious death investigation
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is investigating the death of a 21-year-old man in the 400 block of Meadow Park Place.
At approximately 8:13 a.m., officers arrived on scene and located the deceased man.
The death is currently being treated as criminally suspicious.
The victim’s name is not being released, pending autopsy results and next of kin notification.
Homicide Unit investigators would like to speak with anyone with information regarding this incident or who may have dashcam footage and was travelling on the Aviation Parkway between 7:00 p.m. on October 21st and 7:00 a.m. on October 22nd.
Investigators are also looking to speak with anyone who observed pedestrians on the Aviation Pathway in the area between Hemlock Road and Montreal Road during that time.
