FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, September 29, 2025 1:00 p.m.
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has successfully concluded Operation Robin Hood, a targeted initiative led by the Market Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) in collaboration with Rideau Centre Security.
The operation was launched in response to a surge in thefts at several retail stores within the CF Rideau Centre.
As a result of this coordinated effort, three individuals have been charged with multiple counts of theft and breach-related offences.
Investigators estimate that these individuals were responsible for approximately $75,000 in stolen merchandise over the past six months.
This operation demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative policing and the importance of strong partnerships with local stakeholders. The OPS remains committed to ensuring safety and security within our communities.
Further updates to this enforcement activity will be provided when they become available.
