Ottawa Police Service “Cram the Cruiser” Food Drives – Let's Make a Difference Together
This holiday season, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Community Policing Team is inviting residents to join two special “Cram the Cruiser” events to support families in need across Ottawa.
East District Cram the Cruiser - Saturday, November 8
The East District Community Policing Team will be at Sobeys, 5150 Innes Road, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. bringing the community together for a special food drive. Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to help fill a police cruiser.
All donations collected will be delivered to the Orleans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre (OCCRC), helping local families enjoy a brighter holiday season. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the dedicated community officers who work every day to keep our neighbourhoods safe.
Citywide Holiday Cram the Cruiser – Saturday, December 6
The OPS Community Policing Team will host a citywide Cram the Cruiser from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at multiple locations across Ottawa. Non-perishable food donations collected at this event will support the Ottawa Food Bank and local community resource centres.
The impact of this community effort will be showcased on CTV News on December 12, highlighting the generosity of Ottawa residents and the work of our officers to make a difference.
Can’t attend in person?
Donations can also be made online through the Ottawa Food Bank Holiday Food Drive:https://www.ottawafoodbank.ca/holiday-food-drive/
