Ottawa Shines with Holiday Spirit at the 56th Annual Help Santa Toy Parade
The 56th annual Help Santa Toy Parade, hosted by the Ottawa Professional Firefighters Association, brought festive cheer to the streets of Ottawa this year. Kicking off at 11 a.m. along Queen Elizabeth Driveway, the parade featured over 65 floats and entries, including one by the Ottawa Police Service.
OPS joined the celebration, decked out in tinsel, lights, and presents. Our Mounted Unit made a special appearance, delighting crowds with their holiday flair. One of our victim support dogs, Nelson, sported his festive antlers and received endless love from children along the route.
Beyond the spectacle, the parade had a heartwarming mission: raising money and collecting toy donations for Toy Mountain, helping ensure that all children in Ottawa wake up to gifts on Christmas morning.
It was our pleasure to participate in this year’s parade and share the holiday spirit with our community. From all of us at the Ottawa Police Service, we wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!
