Police seek to identify suspect in William and York Street assault
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, October 29, 2025 11:30 a.m.
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an assault on October 11th in the William Street and York Street area.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., the suspect struck the victim behind the head with a blunt object and left the area on foot.
At the time of the incident, the victim did not sustain any injuries.
The suspect is described as Middle Eastern, approximately 25-years-old, with a slim build. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing glasses, a light brown/khaki sweater, light blue jeans and white shoes.
