Recruit Spotlight: Cst. Ekaterina Shniger

I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Moscow State University and am fluent in Russian.

With more than 15 years in the market research industry—designing and executing projects for national and international companies across a variety of markets—I honed essential skills in communication, conflict resolution, problem solving, and teamwork.

Volunteer work has always been a meaningful part of my life. For the past three years, I’ve volunteered with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and local youth sports clubs.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active and exploring the outdoors through hiking, running, and cycling.

I have always wanted a career where I could make a positive impact in my community. The Ottawa Police Service’s focus on community policing, diversity, and accountability aligns with my values.
