Recruit Spotlight: Spec. Cst. Daniel Kamara

I began my security career in 2018, with experience including Bayshore Mall Security and The Ottawa Hospital Protective Services. I graduated from the Police Foundations program at Algonquin College.

Born in Moscow, I proudly carry my Nenets heritage—an Indigenous people of the Russian Arctic—alongside my Sierra Leonean roots.

I entered this field to help and protect the community, and to gain experience for my goal of becoming a police officer.

I’m fluent in English, understand Russian, and enjoy hiking, nature, and time with my cats.
