Recruit Spotlight: Special Constable Alyssa Glover

I grew up on St. Joseph Island and moved to Ottawa on a scholarship to attend the University of Ottawa.

I completed one year in International Development and Globalization before graduating from the Police Foundations program at Algonquin College. Prior to joining the Ottawa Police Service, I spent four years with the Ontario Provincial Police and worked as a Corrections Officer at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre.

I have always been drawn to law enforcement for its demanding yet rewarding nature, and I value the strong sense of community and teamwork within OPS.
