Recruit Spotlight: Special Constable Lindsay Webber

I was born and raised in Ottawa, and I’ve been a civilian member of the Ottawa Police Service since 2002.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, including Courts, CPIC, Backgrounds, the Intimate Partner Violence Unit, and Front Desk Services.

Policing has always been part of my story. My father retired from OPS in 2007 as a Staff Sergeant, and his influence helped shape my path.

From dressing up as a Gloucester Police officer for Halloween at eight years old to more than two decades of dedicated service, my motivation has remained the same: helping people when they need it most.
