Seeking witnesses to June 14 fatal collision on Carling Avenue
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, June 16, 2026 12:44 p.m.
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses following a fatal collision that occurred in the 2100 block of Carling Avenue on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
At approximately 8:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision between an SUV and an e‑scooter near the intersection of Carling Avenue and Fairlawn Avenue. The scooter operator, a 55‑year‑old man, was found at the scene suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the collision, or who may have cameras on their properties or homes that may have captured the vehicle at or around the time of the incident, to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613‑236‑1222, extension 2345.
