Charges laid in stabbing investigation at Mooney’s Bay Park

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, June 25, 2026 12:25 p.m.

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) East Investigations has charged two youths in a stabbing that took place at Mooney’s Bay on May 30, 2026.

A 16-year-old male has been charged with:

Aggravated Assault 268(2) (2 counts)
Weapon Dangerous 88(1)
Assault with Weapon 267(a) (2 counts)
Carry Concealed Weapon 90(1)

A 15-year-old male has been charged with:

Assault with Weapon 267(a)
Weapon Dangerous 88(1)

Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Stabbing investigation: Mooney’s Bay Park

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is investigating after an incident at 2960 Riverside Drive results in multiple injuries from apparent stabbings on Saturday, May 30^th.

The OPS responded to Mooney’s Bay Park at approximately 8:53 p.m. following reports of a stabbing altercation.

Two injured victims were located. One victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, the other victim received minor injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
