Suspect to identify in March 23rd Bayshore robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 10:55 a.m.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred at a jewellery store located within the Bayshore Shopping Centre.
At approximately 9:40 a.m. on March 23rd, the suspect entered a jewellery store, smashed a cabinet and removed jewellery, some of which is traceable and might show up for sale on the internet.
The suspect is described as Black, between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 130 to 150 lbs. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a green hooded jacket with ‘Five Boroughs” written in white print on the front, sunglasses with brightly coloured frames, black pants and a backpack.
The Robbery Unit continues the investigation.
Anyone who purchased or knows of rings or jewellery with tags, being offered for sale on local internet markets, is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222 extension 5116.
