Suspect to identify in Richmond bank robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, March 13, 2026 11:30 a.m.
(Ottawa)— On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m., a suspect entered a bank at the intersection of Perth Street and Shea Road in Richmond.
The suspect was armed with a large knife and demanded money. Bank staff complied, and the suspect then fled the area.
The suspect is believed to have arrived travelling southbound on Shea Road and left northbound on Shea Road.
He was driving a white Volkswagen Golf GTI, believed to be a 2022 model or newer. The vehicle had no front licence plate.
The suspect is described as a White man with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie, a grey balaclava, blue jeans, black shoes with white soles, and a dark-coloured backpack.
Investigators are asking anyone who was driving in the area of Shea Road between 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on March 5, 2026 and may have dashcam footage to contact police.
