Two-vehicle collision on Hawthorne Road; seeking witnesses

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, June 16, 2026   10:30 a.m.

(Ottawa) - The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred on Monday, June 15, 2026. 

At approximately 2:58 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles on Hawthorne Road near Leitrim Road, which resulted in serious injuries. 

Two people were transported to the hospital. A man in his 40s remains in critical condition. 

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to the police.
