Missing 16-year-old youth to locate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 3:47 p.m.

(Ottawa) -  The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Gemma Farhat, who was last seen this morning at approximately 8:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic School.

Gemma is described as a Middle Eastern female with a very fair complexion, approximately 5’6” tall and weighing 115 lbs., with a thin build. She has shoulder-length blue hair.

She was last seen wearing black DC-brand sneakers with a grey logo, black sweatpants, a black t-shirt underneath a black zip-up hoodie with bedazzled writing on the back, black sunglasses, and carrying a black backpack.

There are concerns for her health and safety.

Anyone with information about Gemma’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 7500.
