Operation Identification

Protect your property and valuables by marking and documenting them.

Marked stolen articles are difficult to sell, and they are more easily traced.

Operation Identification encourages community members to mark or identify valuables as a proactive measure against theft.

Take pictures or videos of your items that can't be engraved, like jewelry, silverware, figurines, paintings, etc.

Contact your local Community Police Centre to borrow an electric engraver - free of charge - to mark your possessions using a unique identifier, like a driver's licence number. The borrowing period is generally three days.
