Operation Access

In an emergency, every minute counts.

Operation Access helps our officers and other first responders access apartments and multi-dwelling buildings in emergencies.

Building owners, landlords and property managers can give police options for secure entry methods should someone in their building need immediate help.

Under certain emergency circumstances, officers can ask our 911 Communications Centre for the secure information previously provided by a landlord to access the building.

This city-wide confidential database is only accessible by our 911 police communicators and will only be accessed in the event of an emergency.

If you have questions or if you are a landlord or property owner and wish to participate in Operation Access, please fill out an Emergency Access Authorization Form and email it to us at [email protected].
