22-year-old charged in child luring investigation
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, March 12, 2026 9:30 a.m.
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged a 22-year-old man following several child luring incidents that took place between March 2024 and December 2024.
On March 11th, 2026, at approximately 6:05 a.m., the OPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Alfred, Ontario.
Joshua Christopher CORPUT has been charged with:
- Luring a child
- Making sexually explicit content sexually explicit material available to a child
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Making child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM)
- Distributing CSAEM
- Possessing CSAEM
- Exposure of genitals to a person under 16
CORPUT used the following usernames during the commission of the offences.

- NovaStarlight_Z3nith
- Ybgcorputt
- Ghostatnight04
- Ghostatknight
- Ghostatnight
- J357644
Investigators believe there could be other victims and the investigation is ongoing.
