Accident involving Via Rail Train

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Sunday, August 30, 2026 6:37 p.m.

Ottawa Police Service officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a VIA Rail train on Fallowfield Dr around 3:30pm.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported among passengers or crew aboard the train.

The railway crossing signals were confirmed to have been operating properly at the time of the collision. Road closures remain in effect as the investigation continues.
