Drugs and firearms seized following Guns and Gangs investigation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, April 13, 2026 11:45 a.m.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has laid charges following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity.

In early March 2026, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit received information regarding a man believed to be trafficking controlled substances in Ottawa.

On April 10, 2026, search warrants were executed at two residences (800 block of Walkley Road and 100 block of Silvermoon Crescent) with the assistance of the Tactical Unit and Neighbourhood Resource Teams (NRT) from the South and East Districts.

Two individuals were taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, one man has been charged with offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), as well as several firearms-related offences.

Items seized include:

  • A shotgun
  • Ammunition
  • Controlled substances
  • Drug paraphernalia

The investigation remains ongoing.
